"A wormie! A wormie!" was the most overheard phrase at the Liboiron household this July. The cold, wet weather was the perfect opportunity for a little bug-obsessed Lexi to collect worms, slugs, robin's eggs that had fallen out of nests - our sweet girl revelled in the nature all around her. That is, when she wasn't glued to the tv. When you have a teething baby, sometimes television for the toddler is a necessity. Feel free to argue with me about this one; I'll respect your ability to avoid all screen time for your kids, and admire your tenacity, but I'll still stick my daughter in front of some form of Minion movie so that I can get my wits about me.
As a family, we spent Canada Day in Rosemary, and made a day trip to the dinosaur museum in Drumheller. Despite some rainy weather and a teething babe, we had great days. Mama even brewed her first batch of beer - gluten free, of course. Lexi had a Paw Patrol and a Minion summer camp at the college, and we spent the last week of July in Invermere with the Shantz family, enjoying the most beautiful landscape that western Canada has to offer. What a blessed, blessed month!
