Where Macklin was emitting joy, Lexi began expressing pain: "you hurt myself!" Became her go-to mantra whenever she got bumped in the slightest. Not that she wasn't into hurting others: one day after a successful potty trip, Mama asked Lexi for a high-five. Without skipping a beat, Lexi high-fived Mama... in the face. Mama was so taken aback that she laughed out loud. Wrong kinda high five, kid!
Macklin had one particularly bad day this month, and it turned out he was overheated from a little outfit he was in. mama felt pretty bad about it, and said, "I'm a bad Mama!" within earshot of Lexi. She looked at Mama, and without missing a beat, stated matter-of-factory, "No, you are a good Mama!" Aaaand the tears started to flow!
Lexi loves praying every night before bed: "Dear Jesus, thank you for Mama, and Dada, and Auntie Tanya, and Uncle Blake, and Lounkin, and Macklin, and Granma, and Papa, and Uncle Louis, and Grammie, and Grandpa, and..." It goes on and on, and she won't go to sleep without praying. "Me want Jesus!" Glad you figured it out so early, kid!
